The old adage of ‘the house always wins’ is being properly tested in the month of October. NFL and football gamblers are in the midst of a historic run with sportsbooks and casinos losing to the public three weeks in a row. One Las Vegas casino VP told an industry insider there hasn’t been “three weeks quite like this in my 25 years in the industry.”

David Purdum at ESPN’s Chalk speaks with a ton of sports betting insiders and sportsbook operators each week and based on his most recent article it seems like this is one of the hottest runs for sports bettors in years. The only game the books won on Sunday was the Giants and the house is desperate for some big upsets which just haven’t come yet this season.

Here’s a look at some six figure wins and losses from Sunday:

  • $520,000 on LA Rams -15 (loss)
  • $520,000 on Arizona Cardinals -17 (win)
  • $520,000 on Chicago Bears +13 (loss)
  • $520,000 on Baltimore Ravens -6 (loss)
  • $520,000 on Indianapolis Colts +3.5 (win)
  • $220,000 on Tennessee Titans +210 ML (won $462,000)

The Chiefs continue to be a problem for bookies and gamblers. The total in that came closed at 59 points which was the 4th highest in the past 15 years. Patrick Mahomes didn’t even score a touchdown for the first time in his NFL career as a starter.

Here are some more notable bets from around the league that were shared on Twitter:

Just looking at those parlays above, it sure seems like Cooper Kupp and Ja’Marr Chase are earning bettors a TON of money this season. I’ve got Chase on my fantasy team and he’s the reason I’m hanging in there each and every week…but my team still sucks.
