Nick Saban is finally able to enjoy his retirement. The greatest head coach in college football history stayed in Tuscaloosa for about a week after stepping down from his role at the University of Alabama.
He wanted to make sure that Kalen DeBoer was properly acclimated before taking some time off and went out of his way to support his former players during the initial period of transition. Saban literally showed up to the Crimson Tide football facility on his first day without a job.
It was very admirable, but he and Miss Terry are deserving of some rest and relaxation.

They were finally able to take some time off this week.
According to their daughter, Kristen Saban Setas, the legend and his wife are somewhere warm. She said that her parents are “frolicking on the beach and playing golf” but did not clarify as to where they might be.
It doesn’t matter. Saban kicked up his feet and hit the links without having to worry about recruiting, or spring practice, or anything football related for the first time since beginning his career as a graduate assistant at Kent State in 1973. He’s living well!
Shortly after Kristen revealed her father’s whereabouts, an Alabama fan suggested that he or she needs a video of coach Saban surfing like he or she needs air. That does not exist.
HOWEVER, Kristen was reminded of a video from a past vacation and was kind enough to share!

Although we are not sure of Saban’s current whereabouts, it is wonderful to imagine that he is out there in the water by himself trying to master the boogie board while Miss Terry cheers him on from the shore. That’s the ideal retirement life!
