Aaron Judge just had one of the best seasons of any player in MLB history and it couldn’t have come at a better time for him personally. Judge hit 62 home runs, a new American League record, and he did it in the final season of his contract with the New York Yankees.

The Yankees missed their chance to sign Aaron Judge to a long-term contract extension before the 2022 season began and his heroics at the plate certainly cost them a lot of money. Every Yankees fan on planet earth wants the team to sign Judge to a long-term contract including former Yankees World Series winner Nick Swisher.

Swisher hopped on camera with TMZ Sports to make a prediction about what will happen with Aaron Judge and the Yankees. Should Nick Swisher’s prediction come true, this would be excellent news for The Bronx.

Nick Swisher makes prediction about Aaron Judge’s future that Yankees fans will love

Swisher, a personal advisor to GM Brian Cashman, believes the team will lock up Aaron Judge for a long time AND make him the captain. Nick Swisher said “here’s what I think, I think he signs a monster deal; 7, 8-year deal, and guess what we do? We put that C on his chest and the Yankees fans — it makes everybody happy.”

Nick also mentioned “it would be hard to say that every year the New York Yankees don’t put out on paper one of the best organizations in the game” and he’s right about that. The Yankees invest in their team as much as any other franchise even if they aren’t the biggest spender at any given moment.

It’s obvious that Swisher is a huge Aaron Judge fan:

One thing Nick Swisher said that’s worth noting is “62 home runs, bro, back-to-back seasons, bro, I don’t know if that’s possible or not.”

It’s interesting to hear someone within the organization try and argue from a standpoint of ‘that was great but you probably can’t do it again.’ Because historically, nobody’s been able to consistently put up those numbers Aaron Judge did year over year.
