Nick Wright’s Take On Tom Brady Possibly Being The Worst QB In The NFC South Isn’t That Outlandish

Tom Brady’s resume obviously speaks for itself and while there’s no denying that he’s the greatest quarterback in NFL history, he’s going to have to adjust to playing in a completely new conference this upcoming season thanks to his move to Tampa Bay.

Brady has been used to being the best quarterback in the AFC East for quite some time, but the NFC South is a completely different animal. We’re talking about a division with Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and Teddy Bridgewater running the show which is quite the group of three compared to last year’s AFC East signal-callers Josh Allen, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Sam Darnold.

During a recent segment on FS1’s First Things First, Nick Wright was quick to point out that just because the greatest QB of all time was walking through the door doesn’t mean that the Bucs are all of the sudden championship contenders. He also went on to say that Brady very well could be the worst quarterback in the division when the season comes to a close given the other quarterbacks in the NFC South.

Wright is usually on the wrong side of things and isn’t a stranger to stirring the pot for the sake of stirring the pot, but this take from him isn’t all that bad.

It’s tough to look past Brady’s six rings and think that he could be the worst QB, at least statistically, in a four-team division, but that could very well be the case.

Now, having said that, Brady could be ‘the worst’ QB in the division and still take the Bucs on a deep playoff run, there’s no doubt about that.
