On Monday, it was revealed that the Philadelphia Eagles signed Jalen Hurts to a five-year contract extension worth $255 million.
The deal makes Jalen Hurts the highest-paid player in NFL history at the quarterback position.
Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that the contract will pay Hurts a little over $179 million in guaranteed money, plus it includes a no-trade clause.
It’s quite an investment in a quarterback that has thrown just 1,040 passes in his NFL career.
Certainly his 23-11 record as a starter and a trip to the Super Bowl in 2022 were key factors in the decision.
The contract also will obviously impact some of the other young guns at the quarterback position who will be looking for new deals in the coming years.
Now that Jalen Hurts got paid $255 million over 5-years, the next top QB to get paid will surely try to top it.#Ravens Lamar Jackson#Bengals Joe Burrow#Chargers Justin Herbert

Jalen Hurts landed this landmark contract extension thanks to his agent Nicole Lynn, the President of Football Operations at Klutch Sports Group.

NFL fans, needless to say, are very impressed with Nicole Lynn.
So who is she?
Well, the record-breaking deal she got for Jalen Hurts is far from the first time she’s set a new standard in her life.
The University of Oklahoma graduate is 34-years-old was the first female sports agent for PlayersRep in 2015.
In 2019, Nicole Lynn was the first Black woman to represent a top-three NFL Draft pick.
She was hired by Klutch Sports Group in 2021 to lead the company’s football operations.
Thanks to the Eagles’ Super Bowl run last season, Lynn became the first Black woman to represent a player to make it to the big game.
Lynn was then promoted to President of Football Operations at Klutch Sports Group in April of 2023.

She reportedly only got Jalen Hurts as a client by sending him a unsolicited DM on Instagram prior to the 2020 NFL Draft asking if he had signed with an agent yet.
Nicole Lynn also currently represents current NFL players Myles Garrett, Quinnen Williams, Bailey Zappe, Evan Neal, Jedrick Wills, Ed Ingram, Malik Jefferson, and Marvin Wilson.
The Sporting News says she has a net worth of around $5 million – a number that will continue to grow if she can keep getting deals like the one she landed for Jalen Hurts.
She also now appears to be the internet’s new favorite sports agent.
Way to go girl. Leading by example. Jalen secured the bag
