College football bettors want a Northwestern quarterback investigated for throwing a laughably bad interception in the fourth quarter against Penn State. The pick led to a Nittany Lions score which helped them cover the spread.

Entering the contest, PSU was favored to beat its Big Ten rival by 27 points. Given Northwestern’s struggles with a new head coach and Penn State’s 4-0 start, that wasn’t necessarily a surprise.

The two teams battled in the first half, going into the halftime break with a 10-10 tie. The Nittany Lions would turn on the gas from then on out to outscore the Wildcats 31-3 the rest of the way.

While PSU dominated that second half of play, a Northwestern cover looked safe. With under five minutes remaining in the action, the Wildcats trailed 27-13, two touchdowns below the closing spread.

Penn State scored a touchdown on a short field to extend their lead to 34-13, still six points away from a push. Then, disaster for Northwestern bettors.

Backup quarterback Brendan Sullivan came into the game for mop-up duties, and he threw one of the worst interceptions you’ll see this season.

Sullivan threw the ball directly to a Nittany Lions defender sitting all alone on the field. Penn State scored on the very next play, going on to win 41-13 and cover the spread by a single point.

Fans immediately reacted to the series of events on social media.

“Show me his FanDuel account.”

“This was fixed.”

“I want this quarterback investigated for gambling immediately.”

An absolutely brutal beat for Northwestern bettors.
