The Notre Dame football team introduced fans to some flashy green jerseys on Monday, and they did so in the best way possible. The Fighting Irish social team filmed a Jerry Maguire themed skit featuring head coach Marcus Freeman, transfer quarterback Sam Hartman, and star running back Audric Estime.

The result was fantastic.

Jerry Maguire has it all. It’s a sports drama, love story, and comedy all wrapped into one. Add onto that a star-studded cast that includes Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Renee Zellweger and you’ve got a recipe for an instant classic.

The movie produced some of the most memorable lines in pop culture.

“You complete me.”

“You had me at hello.”

“Help me help you.”

But maybe the most famous comes from a scene between Cruise and Gooding. The backstory of the quote involves Cruise aka agent Jerry Maguire trying to keep NFL player Rod Tidwell (Gooding) as a client.

In order to keep him, Tidwell has just one request. “Show me the money!”

Notre Dame incapsulated this scene while unveiling their green jerseys for the upcoming season using their own unique twist.

Coach Freeman plays Tom Cruise’s character as he shouts, “Show me the green jerseys,” throughout the Notre Dame football facility. College football fans were quick to react to the hilarious remake as they posted responses on social media.

A number of followers noted the dedication to the Jerry Maguire era with the oversized cellphones.

The overwhelming majority loved the jerseys as much as the video.

It looks like these green jerseys will be worn for Notre Dame’s matchup against Ohio State on September 23rd.
