The San Francisco 49ers have been struck by the injury bug yet again. This time, star wide receiver Deebo Samuel goes down against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This isn’t a great situation for Samuel or San Francisco. Especially considering he’s suffered a serious injury before.
Bridget Condon shows the clip of Deebo Samuel getting carted off of the field. It looks like the 49ers receiver suffered a leg injury. It’s unclear exactly what the issue is, however, he was grabbing at his knee before getting carted off.

It’s not looking great for San Francisco right now, as they may have just lost Deebo Samuel for the season. Considering how stacked this team is, losing their star receiver isn’t ideal. However, the latest update about Samuel is that he actually suffered an ankle injury, per Cam Imman.

Another wide receiver who’s dealt with a serious injury is Odell Beckham Jr. Shortly after Samuel was taken off of the field, Beckham shared a heartfelt reaction to the news.

Odell Beckham Jr. speaks for most of us, as it was tough to watch Samuel on the field after being taken down as he did. We just hope he’s okay and makes a full recovery. If it’s too serious, then the 49ers might be in the market for a wide receiver. Of course, it’s hard not to imagine San Francisco possibly inquiring Beckham about his possible availability.
