Odell Beckham Jr. and the Cleveland Browns look like they’re finally having a little fun, as the team has run off three-straight victories and now sit at 5-6 overall, putting them right in the middle of the AFC Wild Card picture. As most of us know, for the majority of the season, tension has been high in Cleveland, with OBJ being in the middle of it as questions surrounded his involvement with the offense and how many targets he was getting each game.

However, in the Week 12 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, Odell Beckham Jr. finally showed his worth, catching 6 balls for 84 yards and a touchdown in the blowout victory. As impressive as OBJ was against Miami, his teammate and good buddy, Jarvis Landry, outdid him, hauling in 10 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins game — something that Beckham Jr. nearly predicted to the exact yardage some three days prior.

When talking to reporters leading up to the Dolphins game last Thursday, Odell Beckham Jr. was asked about what fans could expect from Landry — who was going against his former team. OBJ’s reply? Well, just take a look below and see how scary close he was to being right on point with his prediction for his teammate.

Per Cleveland.com:

“A game like this is going to mean a lot when he goes for 156 yards and two touchdowns and nine receptions,’’ Beckham said on Thursday. “He’s going to go home and he’s going to have a smile, be able to hug his kids and he’s going to love and enjoy that. He’s going to give everything he has, the same way he does every Sunday. If he does have extra, he’s going to give it to ‘em this week for sure.’’

Landry was one reception over and 8 yards shy of Beckham’s prediction, catching 10-of-13 targets for 148 yards and two TDs.

“Just a few yards off, yeah,” Beckham said. “I told you what was going to happen today. I just told you. I just know him. It’s not just this game, it could be every game.”

He acknowledged that he’s prescient, especially when it comes to his best friend.

“It’s just a little something that I have,’’ Beckham said. “I just know when I feel it. We were close to what I said so I was happy to see it.”

It’s actually scary to see how close Odell Beckham Jr. was to nailing this right on. It’d be one thing if OBJ predicted Jarvis Landry would score a touchdown against his former team, but to go out and be within a first down of getting the exact yardage? That’s insanity. Maybe Beckham Jr. should consider buying a lottery ticket with those types of skills — not that he needs the money given his contract.

With Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry starting to have fun, and quarterback Baker Mayfield starting to earn praise for how he’s playing, the Browns could suddenly be a scary team. It’s something we all thought would happen earlier this season, so we’ll have to see if the talented roster can keep putting these types of performances up each week.
