Confusion Arises Over Ohio State Star Players Hours Before Showdown With Penn State

The injury bug has bitten the Ohio State Buckeyes hard ahead of their showdown with Penn State in Columbus on Saturday.

Star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka missed last week’s victory over Purdue due to injury, as did running back TreVeyon Henderson. While starting defensive back Denzel Burke was injured against the Boilermakers.

Now it appears that all three big name Buckeyes will be out against the Nittany Lions. Or so it seems.

Joey Kauffman of the Columbus Dispatch reported early Saturday morning that both Henderson and Burke would be out for the game against the Penn State.

He then went on to state Egbuka was questionable. But ESPN’s Pete Thamel then said on College GameDay that it was unlikely that Egbuka would play in the contest.

But as it typical in college football, these things are ever-changing.

Thamel later reported that the Buckeyes changed their injury report prior to the game. Initially, Ohio State told the Big Ten that Henderson was out.

But that status was later changed to “game-time decision.”

Either way, it doesn’t sound great for the Buckeyes ahead of perhaps their toughest game yet this season.
