Ole Miss’s rivalry game against Mississippi State saw a sold-out crowd with celebs like Morgan Freeman in attendance, but it was a Rebels floor manager named Kyle who stole the show.

His maximum effort cleaning the Pavilion court got a record-setting group going on Tuesday night, and the Rebs would need every ounce of that energy.

The visiting Bulldogs entered the contest with momentum fresh off an upset of eight-ranked Auburn, and they’d hoped to keep the ball rolling as they make a push to the postseason.

Ole Miss, who sat at 17-3 on the year, had plans of their own.

After falling behind by seven late in the first half, the Rebels used a run to tie things up before halftime. OM would then jump out to a quick second half lead and never look back.

Ole Miss never trailed after halftime, though the game remained close throughout. The Bulldogs got to within a point late in the action before their rival pulled away for an 86-82 victory.

Scenes were epic in The SJB Pavilion as the venue set an attendance record with more than 10,600 screaming fans in the seats. There was no louder moment than when Kyle the floor manager hit the court.

Giving everything he had, Kyle was seen in a full speed sprint with mop and towel in hand to ensure the playing surface was ready for action. The crowed loved every moment.

After putting in the work, he did his part to rile up those Rebel supporters.

Epic scenes at Ole Miss

An A-list celebrity was in the building for the rivalry matchup as actor Morgan Freeman was seen strolling along the baseline in pregame. Freeman’s affinity for the program is well-known having grown up in the Magnolia State.

He won football coach Lane Kiffin over with his outfit choice, rocking a hoodie with his #ComeToTheSip recruiting motto.

Freeman wouldn’t be disappointed with either the outcome or the atmosphere as the scenes in Oxford made Tuesday night feel like a movie.

The game was an absolute classic as Ole Miss remained undefeated at home, a perfect 13-0!

That record-setting crowd was a big part of the win.

Hotty. Toddy.
