Packers Team Doctor Likely To Perform Aaron Rodgers’ Surgery For Torn Achilles

Aaron Rodgers is no longer a member of the Green Bay Packers, but it doesn’t appear that will stop him from seeing a Packers team doctor for surgery on his newly torn achilles.

The four-time NFL MVP made it just four snaps into his New York Jets career before he had to be helped off the field on Monday night.

Jets fans’ greatest fears were confirmed on Tuesday morning when an MRI revealed that Rodgers did, in fact, tear his achilles.

The injury will keep the superstar quarterback out for at least the entire 2023 NFL season.

But will it end his career?

Richard Sherman and the rest of the cast of Fox Sports’ “Undisputed” debated just that this morning before Sherman made a stunning revelation.

“I think he feels like he owes (the Jets), so that’s going to give them the energy he needs to get through this rehab process,” Sherman began. “But who he’s gonna go to is ironic. Because the doctor that he’s gonna go, who’s the best achilles – the guy who did my surgery who has this special technique where the incision, the scar is only like this big (*gestures*) – is Bob Anderson.

“But he’s now a Green Bay team doctor. So his facility is in Green Bay, Wisconsin. So for Aaron to get his surgery, he’s gonna have to fly into Green Bay, Wisconsin in the next couple weeks to get this surgery from Bob Anderson.”

Talk about irony.

Rodgers will also be among several fans who celebrated the injury that ended his season as well.

Meanwhile, Jets head coach Robert Saleh says that Zach Wilson will be the team’s starter going forward.

Though that hasn’t kept them from looking into the list of remaining free agent quarterbacks.

Things are looking pretty bleak in New York.
