It’s been a busy day for the Carolina Panthers. The franchise is clearly upset with how this season has played out so far. Monday morning, the team announced it was firing head coach Matt Rhule. Now, it appears another coach is receiving the axe. For that reason, it looks as though Carolina is starting over from scratch.

Panthers Fire Defensive Coordinator Phil Snow

According to Ian Rapoport, the front office has officially cut ties with defensive coordinator Phil Snow. He follows behind Matt Rhule, which puts the Panthers in a tough spot moving forward.

With that in mind, Carolina is in store for a busy offseason. Unfortunately for them, they still have the rest of this season to play. The Panthers will have to rely on a makeshift coaching staff, which doesn’t bode well for their chances.

Franchise In Good Spot To Rebuild In 2023

With the news of Baker Mayfield suffering a high ankle injury, Carolina finds themselves in an even deeper hole. They’ll have to rely on PJ Walker for the time being all while an interim head coach and defensive coordinator take over. The Panthers are in line to be one of the worst teams in the league this season, but it could eventually pay off in a major way.

Look for this franchise to struggle throughout the remainder of the 2022 season. With plenty of new faces in charge, the Panthers are setting themselves up for an exciting offseason. At least there’s something the fans can hope for.
