Patrick Mahomes Leans Into ‘Dad Bod’ Jokes With New T-Shirts For Charity

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has heard all of the “dad bod” jokes being thrown his way.

First, they came after he appeared shirtless in the locker room on an episode of Inside the NFL back in January.

Then he heard them again when pictures of him and his family on vacation at a beach resort in Los Cabos surfaced.

Throughout, Patrick Mahomes has taken all of the mocking with great humor.

During a recent interview with Time, Mahomes admitted, “I definitely have the dad bod a little bit. I’ll also say I have a great body for a quarterback. You’ve got to have some padding in there to take the hits that we take.”

However, he also said that if he wants to keep playing as long as Tom Brady did, he has “to make sure that I get rid of this dad bod if I want to play to 45.”

Patrick Mahomes also joked before the Super Bowl that he may have a hidden six-pack underneath his dad bod.

“I have a six pack, it’s just under the dad bod. If you feel—there might be some skin there, but then underneath that, the six pack is there. You just gotta get real close and squint a little bit. I think you’ll see it,” he joked.

Now he’s leaning into the dad bod jokes even further with some new t-shirts that benefit charity. One of them even features a six-pack.

“Introducing the limited-edition Coors Light® Dad Bod Collection in partnership with star QB Patrick Mahomes,” reads the website announcing the new shirts. “A portion of proceeds will benefit 15 and the Mahomies.”

“This is what ‘peak’ performance looks like,” Coors Light captioned a photo of Mahomes with one of the shirts.

Dad bods are definitely back, boys.
