Patrick Mahomes has finally broken his silence regarding the Harrison Butker situation.

Last week, Butker spoke at Benedictine College in Kansas and offended many when he described Pride Month as a sin and gave a speech about the roles of men and women in society.

After over 200k people signed a petition to get Butker cut from the team, Mahomes went on record to publicly defend his kicker.

“Everybody’s got their own opinion. That’s what’s so great about this country, you can share things and work through it.” -Reid.
“What makes this country so great is that you get as much knowledge as you can, then you make your own decisions.”

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid also defended his kicker while speaking to the media.

“I don’t think he was speaking ill of women, but he has opinions and we all respect that. I let you guys in this room and you have a lot of opinions that I don’t like.”

“We all have different opinions and get along…we respect everyone to have a voice, that’s the great thing about America.”

It doesn’t seem like the Chiefs are going to cut Butker anytime soon.
