Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and safety Patrick Chung have strongly refuted a recent story about their former teammate, Rob Gronkowski.

The story, which claimed that Gronkowski would party all night and then pass out on training tables in the team’s locker room, was dismissed by Edelman as “BS” and labeled as an attempt to paint Gronkowski as a party animal.

The claims were made by Jake Bequette, a former Patriots defensive end, during an appearance on the “Prime Time with Alex Stein” podcast. Bequette recounted an anecdote about Gronkowski’s partying antics, stating that the tight end would go out until the early hours of the morning, get dropped off at the team facility, and pass out on the training tables.

However, Edelman, who played alongside Gronkowski for nine seasons, came to his defense, asserting that the story had no merit. Taking to his Twitter account, Edelman stated, “Story is BS. Everyone wants to paint Gronk as a party animal. When in reality he was one of the most dedicated teammates I had.”

Patrick Chung, another former long-time Patriots veteran player who’s known for his leadership, supported Edelman’s stance, suggesting that people are willing to do anything to gain their moment of fame.

Chung tweeted, “People just want their time of fame. Willing to do anything to get it.”

Rob Gronkowski is widely regarded the greatest tight end of all time. His accomplishments include four All-Pro selections, five Pro Bowl appearances, four Super Bowl titles (one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and three with the Patriots), and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.

Over the course of his 11-year career, all of which happened alongside legendary quarterback Tom Brady, Gronkowski amassed an impressive 10,675 receiving yards and 107 receiving touchdowns, including the playoffs.

While it is acknowledged that Gronkowski enjoyed a vibrant social life and engaged in partying activities, the claims made by Bequette about him passing out as a result of partying at team facilities seem to be unsubstantiated.

Even if such incidents did occur, Edelman and Chung maintain that it had no negative impact on Gronkowski’s on-field performance.

Gronkowski’s ability to balance his partying lifestyle with his dedication to the game is a testament to his professionalism and work ethic. Despite his reputation as a fun-loving personality, Gronkowski’s impact on the football field remains undeniable.
