Paul DeJong of the St. Louis Cardinals might want to go buy a Mega Millions lotto ticket today, because the shortstop just accomplished a feat that literally should not have been capable. Like, seriously, after seeing this photo this morning, I’m still scratching my head wondering how DeJong was able to pull off the most remarkable home run ever.

During last night’s Cardinals-Brewers game, Paul DeJong ripped a 398-foot homer to left field, sending the crowd in Busch Stadium into a frenzy. It wasn’t the longest dinger anyone has ever seen, but that’s not where the unbelievable happened. Still, here’s a look at DeJong’s blast — which actually hit the “Big Mac Land” sign that’s hanging out there.

I mean, I’ve never hit a home run in a Major League Baseball game before, so I have no room to talk about the distance traveled or any of that shit, so kudos to DeJong for doing something I couldn’t do.

But here’s where things get really interesting, because Paul DeJong’s long ball didn’t just hit the “Big Mac Land” sign, but the ball actually landed and rested inside the “M” of the sign, which has to go down as a once-in-a-lifetime moment, right? Legit, what are the odds that something like this could even happen?

So, yeah, not only did Paul DeJong hit the “M” — which caused it to dim a little bit after getting knocked by a blasted baseball — but it then rested perfectly in there, finding a new home that, hopefully, won’t be removed anytime soon. This is awesome, and people on Twitter loved it.

There are a lot of wild things that happen in baseball, with random plays or wild homers happening every so often, but this, right here, has to go down as one of those moments that seem to only happen in the movies. Now if Paul DeJong goes out and wins the lottery, we’ll know he’s got the best luck ever.
