  • It was Judge’s second walk-off hit in four games
  • New York fans are begging for the team to pay him as they negotiate a new contract

Yankees fans are begging the team to pay Aaron Judge. The two sides have been in contract discussions as the superstar’s time on the New York payroll comes to an end.

Judge agreed to a one-year, $19 million deal this season in order to avoid arbitration, but when 2022 ends, Judge will hit free agency. That is, unless the Yankees decide to pay up.

And that’s exactly what the team’s supporters are hoping will happen.

Judge smacked another walk-off homer on Sunday, giving New York 10 walk-off hits on the year. It was Judge’s second walk-off hit over his last four games.

On the year, the outfielder is hitting .294 with an MLB-leading 28 home runs. Judge is on pace to hit more than 60 long balls on the season which would represent a new career high.

As his All-Star play continues on the field, Yankees fans are begging their team to give him the contract he deserves.
