Some folks’ competitive spirit never dies. Peyton Manning is one of those people as the former NFL quarterback was seen getting visibly upset after losing the Pro Bowl to his brother.

The Mannings coached on opposite sides in the matchup, with Peyton leading the AFC team. The NFC would win the contest, 35-33.

As the final seconds ticked from the clock, Peyton Manning blasted referees for letting the time expire. He believed that a penalty should’ve given his side one more shot to win.

Instead, the AFC would lose giving Eli Manning bragging rights.

Take a look at Peyton’s reaction to the loss.

The reaction comes as little surprise to NFL viewers as they witnessed Manning’s competitive attitude on full display throughout his 17-year career.

“The Sheriff” won five MVPs and a pair of Super Bowls in part due to that fiery spirit while playing with the Colts and Broncos. Now, he’s taken that passion to the sidelines.

Unfortunately, Peyton Manning couldn’t will his team to a win in the Pro Bowl. The internet reaction to his late game outburst has been top notch.

One fan wrote, “I absolutely LOVE that Peyton was so fired up!”

Another said, “Peyton furious at an obscure rule and Eli looking confused while winning – I’m glad retirement hasn’t changed them.”

The response didn’t end there.

Peyton Manning’s reaction was one of the few bright spots from a Pro Bowl weekend that’s received a lot of criticism. The rule changes for the 2023 event were met with negativity from a number of fans and players.

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was heard calling new flag football format “stupid” during the festivities.

Making things worse, the NFL’s worst-case scenario for the All-Star matchup came to fruition as star pass rusher Myles Garrett left the field with an injury.

The NFL could be forced to look deeper at the dying event and decide if it’s actually worth continuing.
