Today, the Philadelphia Eagles will be playing their biggest game since their Super Bowl win in 2018.

That game comes as they attempt to defend their home turf as the number 1 seed in the NFC against the New York Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles fans are obviously very excited to get to witness this massive opportunity for the franchise and couldn’t wait to get the tailgating started for today’s game.

There was just one problem. The lots around Lincoln Financial Field don’t open until 4pm. With the game kicking off at 8:15, that would only give fans just over 4 hours to get their tailgating in.

That wasn’t going to be nearly enough tailgating time for a game of this magnitude, so Eagles fans got creative.

While fans can’t park in those lots for tonight’s football game until 4 o’clock, they can park there before then for other events.

It just so happens that there is another event happening at the Wells Fargo Center today, which is right next door to Lincoln Financial Field.

The Philadelphia Wings are taking on the Toronto Rock in a National League Lacrosse game.

To get their tailgate started early, Eagles fans bought tickets to the Wings game to get access to the parking lot.

This crafty move from Eagles fans allowed them to get into the lot at 8am, giving them 12 hours to tailgate instead of the 4 they would have originally had.

Coming off of the ridiculous tailgating rules at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, it is good to see the sports world’s tailgaters get themselves a win during the NFL playoffs.
