Poker Champion Reveals Some ‘Bending Of The Rules’ When Playing Golf With Donald Trump

Poker world champion Daniel Weinmann said there is some “bending of the rules” going on when it comes to playing golf with former President Donald Trump (who recently hit one of the worst shots a supposed 2.5 handicap golfer has ever hit).

“Golfing with Trump was one of the most interesting experiences of my life for sure,” Weinmann said in an interview with Pokergo. “There was, you know, some slight and moderate bending of the rules.

“Probably my favorite was we had six people in our group. Everyone was a scratch golfer. Trump is not a bad golfer, I would say he probably has a high, single-digit handicap.

“On the first hole we played, we all teed off and by the time we all got up to the bridleway, he was 80 yards ahead of everybody. So we think there was a caddy, in the fairway, who may have done some ball manipulation.”

Weinmann’s claims echo that of several others including professional golfers Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Brad Faxon and Suzann Pettersen, broadcaster Mike Tirico, boxer Oscar De La Hoya, rocker Alice Cooper, Samuel L. Jackson and Rick Reilly, who wrote the book Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump.

Faxon says he saw Trump hit a ball in a lake while playing with him, Woods and Johnson, but when they weren’t looking he just dropped another ball.

Jackson said he played with Trump and “we clearly saw him hook a ball into a lake at Trump National and his caddie told him he found it!”

LPGA golfer Suzann Pettersen, like Weinmann and Jackson, also blamed Donald Trump’s caddie because “no matter how far into the woods he hits the ball, it’s in the middle of the fairway when we get there.”

Tirico said he once hit a shot he was sure landed and stayed on the green, but when he got there his ball was 50 feet left of the hole in a bunker, the New York Post reported.

“Trump’s caddy came up to me and said, ‘You know that shot you hit on the par 5?’” Tirico said. “‘It was about 10 feet from the hole. Trump threw it in the bunker. I watched him do it.’”

All of this comes as little surprise considering this is the same man that was once filmed driving his golf cart right on to the green.
