Prime Video's poster of Dak Prescott caught the attention of conspiracy theorists

Prime Video’s promo poster for Thursday Night Football has somehow sparked mass conspiracy theories across social media, ranging from Satanism to numerology. The poster features quarterback Dak Prescott in a position that has been compared to that of the occult creature Baphomet.

To promote the Week 5 Thursday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Prime Video shared a custom poster that featured Prescott posing like Big Texas, a 55-foot tall figure and marketing icon of the annual State Fair of Texas held at Fair Park in Dallas.

Some conspiracy theorists, however, believe the poster shows Prescott pointing to the numbers 11 and 3 on a large clock in the image and a Texas emblem featuring 33 (the stamp), reading 11 x 3 = 33 as a deliberate “33rd ritual.”

The account that posted the theory also noted Prescott was 3-2 against Tampa Bay and could fall to 3-3 in the series (which is what ultimately happened).

A second post said the image symbolized Baphomet while asking if people see who’s really “pulling the strings.”

Baphomet is an invented pagan or gnostic idol or deity that the Templars were accused of worshipping, and was later embraced by various occult and mystical writers. While Baphomet does not originate from Satanism, modern Satanists widely use the figure as a symbol.

As for the actual game, the Bucs, who entered 0-4, beat the Cowboys on their home turf by a score of 24-16 for their first win of the season. Jalon Daniels, starting in place of injured Baker Mayfield, went 19-of-25 for 189 yards and a touchdown, while running back Bucky Irving ran for a career-high 165 yards and two total touchdowns.

Dallas had three turnovers, including two Prescott interceptions — although both the picks came off the hands of his intended receivers.

With the loss, Dallas — now the betting favorites in the NFC East — now sit in third place in the division, trailing the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. All four teams in the NFC East appear to be a mess this year, however, meaning 9 or 10 wins should be enough to win the division title.
