Turns out ex-Raiders coach Josh McDaniels learned about the news of his firing while his kids were out trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Daniels then called them back home on Tuesday night to break the news to his family, per Jeff Howe of TheAthletic

This happened just a few days after Raiders players and coaches reportedly “Ripped” and “Unloaded” into Josh in a team meeting prior to his firing.

McDaniels was fired on Tuesday night by owner Mark Davis, after losing 16 of his 25 games with the team since he was hired in 2022. This was his second head coaching job in the NFL, after also getting first in the second year of his tenure as the Broncos head coach from 2009-2010.

It was later reported McDaniels firing, along with other staff members such as general manager Dave Ziegler, would cost Mark Davis around $85 million.

The Raiders have since made Antonio Pierce interim head coach and won their first game under his leadership, 30-6 against the Giants this past Sunday, and he he dropped some colorful post-game remarks in the locker room after the win.
