Original Story:

The LA Rams are looking to shake things up in their wide receiver room.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, they’re looking into trading former starting wideout Van Jefferson. They reportedly already had a chat with Jefferson’s agent, and it looks like the player is up for a change of scenery.

Jefferson was an important player in the Rams‘ Super Bowl run back in the 2021 season. But this year, he’s been spending more time on the sidelines.

In fact, he only got 2 snaps on offense during Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

Part of the reason for Jefferson is seeing a reduced role is because of the return of All-Pro Cooper Kupp, who was nursing an injury earlier this season. Plus, rookie receiver Puka Nacua is emerging as a star, and been making quite a name for himself since Week 1, breaking records each week.

Jefferson was a 2nd-round pick in the 2020 Draft by the Rams, has had his moments, hauling in 101 passes for 1,499 yards and 10 touchdowns over his career. At 6’1″ and 200 pounds, he’s got the size and some decent speed to offer a boost to any team that might be interested.

There are a number players emerging on the trade block as we move closer to the trade deadline at the end of the month, with Jefferson and Jets Mecole Hardman being among them.
