Is Randy Moss’ assistant named Jermaine Whitehead because he just lost his job over some dumb ass decisions.

Moss appeared on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown and was given a specific welcome by host Sam Ponder after the Hall of Famer pulled a Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas while en route to ESPN headquarters.

Some pertinent information: ESPN headquarters is in Bristol, Connecticut, but one must fly into Bradley International Airport outside Hartford and drive 30 miles. There is no airport in Bristol.

Moss found that out the hard way.

“I laid back, put my hat over my eyes, lay the visor down. Once we land, I’m looking for the Sheraton, the hotel that connects at Bradley (International Airport).

“I said, ‘Hey, where are we?’ He said, ‘We’re in Bristol.’ I said, ‘Bristol? Bristol, Tennessee. I was supposed to be in Bristol, Connecticut.’ “

That is a 700 mile woopsie. But, it could always be worse. Moss could have boarded a flight to Bristol, England and sobbed over his bangers and mash.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
