Kansas City Chiefs wide reciever Rashee Rice was making headlines for his play on the field throughout the NFL Playoffs just a few months ago. But, the rookie wide receiver has landed himself in hot water after a car crash involving two cars registered to him.

Now, five days after the Saturday crash in Dallas, Rashee Rice and his legal team have finally admitted that he was driving one of the two vehicles involved in the crash.

The high-speed crash occurred on Saturday in the Dallas area, injuring four. Two cars, a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini, were registered to Rice. You can see both vehicles involved in video here.

According to the Associated Press, Rashee Rice didn’t even own the Lamborghini involved in the crash. Instead, it was a luxury rental that was costing Rashee Rice $1,750 a day!  Rice has apparently already pledged to pay for the $250,000 car after crashing it. The police also acknowledged that the two cars were traveling at an unsafe speed.

While it’s unclear which of the two cars, the other being the Corvette he actually owns, he was driving, the AP also noted that Rice was contractually the only driver that was supposed to be driving the Lamborghini.

Thankfully, none of the injuries are serious, and he should avoid the most serious charges from an accident like this, if charges are filed. But, it’s a bad look, nonetheless.
