Ray Allen Takes A Savage Shot At LeBron James’ Hairline While Showing Off His Current Quarantine ‘Do

I haven’t gotten a haircut since the tail-end of January so I had a visit to the barber on my to-do list a few weeks ago, but unfortunately, I never ended up getting around to it before hairstylists were deemed “non-essential” by the state of New York and have consequently dreaded every FaceTime call and Zoom invitation I’ve received since then.

Thankfully, I can take solace in knowing that I’m not alone, and while the man who issued the order seems to somehow still be getting touch-ups, it appears society is taking a page out of the Planet Fitness playbook in regard to most aspects of personal hygiene by forgoing judgment when it comes to keeping your hair in check.

Ray Allen played the majority of his career in the NBA rocking a dome shiny enough to make the one on the Notre Dame campus jealous but I never really stopped to question why he decided on that look. However, I got an explanation on Tuesday when the legendary sniper posted a picture of his current ‘do on Instagram in a post where he revealed he’s decided to embrace his follicle shortcomings while cooped up in isolation and took the opportunity to call on other players to follow in his footsteps, including Richard Jefferson, Stephon Marbury, and the famously self-conscious LeBron James.

It’s a commonly accepted fact that James once relied on his signature headband to try to hide his receding hairline from the world but it eventually reached a point where he would’ve had to rock a knit cap on the court if he wanted to keep his hair loss a secret.

Last year, James shocked the world when he revealed he was suddenly sporting a full head of hair yet again but he ran into some technical difficulties at the start of the now-suspended season when it started to fall out in the middle of a game.

LeBron was sporting a pretty close trim as of a week ago and seems to have a tendency to don some sort of headwear in most of the Instagram posts he’s made in the past month, so while I’d be surprised if he accepts his former teammate’s challenge, there’s nothing I’d love more than seeing him embrace the one supposed flaw he cares far too much about.
