A couple of days ago, the Carolina Panthers let their stubborn ways get in the way of smart football moves by retracting the franchise tag on All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman, subsequently making Norman a free agent who can sign with any team he’d like.
Naturally, teams pounced at the chance to wine and dine the cornerback to convince the guy to sign with them, with Norman making a trip to the Washington Redskins Friday. And count current Skins safety Duke Ihenacho among those who wants Norman in a Washington uniform—just so Duke can sell the No. 24 to Josh.
Yo…I hope we sign Josh Norman…so he can throw me some cash for this #24 that I know he's gonna want hahaha. #ItsAllYoursFam lol

If you wanna wear #24 still…if you wanna play for a team with tradition…If you wanna play your boy twice a year 👀…come to death row!

This is a hilarious—and genius—reason to want a guy to join your franchise, but it also happens to be pretty fucking smart considering other athletes have dropped as much as $50,000 to keep the same digits when switching teams.
So not only will Ihenacho benefit from having a new secondary mate if this were to happen, but he could, potentially, roll up in a pretty sick ride for practice each day that’s pretty much paid by Josh Norman. Brilliant move!
