All is relatively quiet these days in the world of Tiger Woods.

Woods recently competed alongside his son Charlie for the second time at the PNC Championship. The duo teamed up to finish in a tie for eighth, eight shots behind Vijay Singh and his son Qass.

The 15-time major champ will now likely not be seen until The Masters in April. But in the meantime, he’s spreading some holiday cheer on Twitter.

Woods regularly sends out “season’s greetings” messages each year on social media. But let’s rewind a bit, about six years, to when he very briefly broke the internet with one of the best pictures we’ve ever seen.

Tiger Woods And The Story Of The “Mac Daddy Santa” Picture

It was a run-of-the-mill Thursday afternoon in the days leading up to Christmas and everyone was minding their own business. That is, until Tiger Woods decided to drop a bomb on all of us.

Woods took to Twitter to post a picture of himself, shirtless, with a dyed white beard, sunglasses, a Christmas hat and a black hat on top while describing himself as “Mac Daddy Santa.”

Now, what exactly Mac Daddy Santa is nobody knows, but the world was in awe.

Tiger later explained the gimmick and why he’ll never do the dyed goatee again.

“Last year I burned my face off trying to dye my goatee, which is never going to happen again,” Woods he says in the video.

But that didn’t stop him from bringing back the look.

“Kids absolutely love it. They love when I do something crazy,” he said. “It provides something that our family does each and every year, even as they get older, I’m still going to do it. And they’re still going to say it’s me or ‘dad, you look ridiculous,’ or anything like that. But it’s something they’re always going to remember for the rest of their lives.”

Who knows whether Mac Daddy Santa is still a thing? But if it is, the world needs to know.
