Tulsa National was disqualified from the Little League World Series due to an eligibility scandal.
After the Tulsa National Little League had both its baseball and softball teams disqualified from their respective World Series in as many months, many are wondering what’s going on behind the scenes.
The Tulsa National boys were booted from their respective regional final after they were found to have fielded at least one ineligible player, then attempted to explain away the matter as nothing more than a clerical error.
But just one month prior, the Tulsa National softball team was also DQ’d following multiple protests regarding eligibility rules that accused them of operating as a “nearly intact” travel team.
So, what gives?
Well, thanks to some incredible reporting from Maren Angus of Sports Illustrated, we now know the corruption seemingly runs far deeper than anyone first imagined.
Tulsa National Little League Was Just A Small Piece Of The Puzzle
In a previous report, Angus found that the Oklahoma Little League had just three teams competing in its state tournament, an unusually low number, especially for a state that size.
So Angus looked a little deeper.
What she found is eye-opening. According to the report, when the three teams arrived at Oklahoma City’s Wheeler Park for the state tournament on June 22, they were instructed to pay the $100 to Tulsa Area Youth Softball and Baseball, Inc.
On top of that, fans were charged a $5 gate fee, which violated Little League rules.
Here is where things get interesting. According to Angus’ report, Tulsa Little League, Inc., is a separate business entity that is entirely unaffiliated with Tulsa National Little League.
Because of that, the name itself violates Regulation XVI of the Little League Rulebook.
According to the rule, the use of the Little League name and emblem “is granted to chartered leagues and cannot be extended by local leagues to any other organization for any purpose whatsoever.” The name and emblems also include: “LITTLE LEAGUE, LITTLE LEAGUER, LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL, SENIOR LEAGUE LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL, LITTLE LEAGUE SOFTBALL, LITTLE LEAGUE CHALLENGER DIVISION, LL, LLB, and the Little League Emblems or logos.”
So, What Is The Tulsa Little League If It’s Not The Same As Tulsa National?
That is a good question!
According to publicly available tax documents acquired by Angus, the “Tulsa Little League furthers its charitable purposes by hosting sports leagues, conducting training and education, providing scholarships, and offering sports facilities for youth and special needs children.”
Court documents from 2025 show that Tulsa Little League Baseball, Inc. is in over $100,000 of debt and the county has asked the court to order Little League to vacate the premises.
Where does Tulsa National come in?
Well, Tulsa Little League Baseball, Inc. is the incorporated business entity of Tulsa National Little League and was formed in 1984.
Additionally, Tulsa Area Youth Softball and Baseball, Inc., Tulsa Little League, Inc., Tulsa Little League Baseball, Inc., and Tulsa National Little League are all owned and operated by Oklahoma Little League State Tournament Director Stephen Skocik. He also serves as the president of at least two of those entities and the Safety Officer for Oklahoma District 1, which represents the entire state.
The parents of Tulsa National have released a statement following the judge’s ruling.

This is all to say that a large amount of money appears to have been funneled to a single entity that violated numerous Little League rules. Safe to say, this isn’t likely to be the last thing we hear about this story.
