The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have largely been disappointing this season. They don’t look like themselves and time is ticking for the franchise to turn things around. Now, former head coach Rex Ryan shares his thoughts on the team and doesn’t hold back when discussing Tom Brady.

Rex Ryan Lays Into Tom Brady And The Buccaneers

During an appearance on Get Up, Ryan shared harsh words about the team in general. He doesn’t mince words as the former coach immediately calls the Buccaneers “old and slow.” After that, he goes in on Tom Brady with some strong criticism.

It’s been a wild year for this Bucs team. This is the worst we’ve seen Brady play in his career. On top of that, he’s dealing with a ton of off-of-the-field issues as well. It also doesn’t help that the front office sought after aging veterans instead of finding talented youth to bring the offense alive.

Luckily for the Buccaneers, there is still time to right the ship. The AFC South is a wide-open race right now and some wins will keep them in playoff contention. However, after watching Tom Brady struggle so hard against a terrible Carolina Panthers team, there isn’t much to be excited about in Tampa Bay right now.

Perhaps Brady can get back to regular form, but we’ll have to see it believe it. The injuries within the interior offensive line aren’t helping in the slightest. On top of that, there seems to be a noticeable miscommunication between Tom Brady and his receivers every week. With all of that in mind, it’s hard to argue against Rex Ryan.
