Over the past couple of decades, there is no team in the NFL that has had more success than the New England Patriots.

From 2003 to 2019, the Pats missed the playoffs just once and they’ve won 6 Super Bowls since the start of the 2000s.

Unfortunately, the last few seasons have been quite so successful.

The Pats have made the playoffs just once since Tom Brady’s departure after the 2019 season and haven’t won a playoff game since he left.

Last season was a particularly big disappointment for the Patriots. They entered the season without an actual offensive coordinator. As a result, Mac Jones regressed in his second NFL season and the offense as a whole struggled.

This offseason, the Patriots worked to remedy last season’s issues.

They brought in offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to fix their offense and give the team a chance to try and make it back to the playoffs after missing out last season with an 8-9 record.

Now that they appear to be heading in the right direction again, Robert Kraft has just one thing in mind.

While speaking to the media, Kraft revealed that the thing that will make him satisfied with the 2023 season is the franchise’s 7th Super Bowl ring (via Mass Live’s Mark Daniels).

It’s a lofty goal for the Patriots coming off of last season’s struggles, but they’ve made some interesting moves this offseason to try and compete.

They brought in Juju Smith-Schuster and Mike Gesicki to bolster their passing game and could even take another step as they’ve attempted to bring DeAndre Hopkins. They also got a steal in the draft when they landed Christian Gonzalez.

A Super Bowl may be too much to ask from this New England Patriots squad, but they’re definitely better-equipped for it than they were last season.
