Ronda Rousey got a nice little payday for her comeback fight against Gina Carano.
On Saturday, Rousey made her long-awaited return to the cage and defeated longtime rival Gina Carano in 17 seconds via an armbar submission.

After the fight, the California State Athletic Commission disclosed that Rousey earned $2.2 million for her fight against Carano.

During her post-fight press conference, Rousey revealed that she earned more than the $2.2 million because she was also paid for promotional activities for the fight.
“I was compensated, not just for my fighting services. I also was promoting this event as well, so I think it’s literally on the contract that I’m not supposed to tell people..I’m very happy and very grateful and me and my husband are gonna go house shopping in Hawaii after this.”
