“I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like ‘I’m nothing, what do I do anymore and no one gives a shit about me anymore without this.”
That was a quote from Ronda Rousey back in February, three months after a shocking loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. Rousey, who was approaching three years as UFC champion with six title fight wins, slipped into a dark depression while struggling to settle into her new identity with a loss under her belt and an unforgiving media.
It’s been nearly a year since Rowdy Ronda Rousey stepped into the Octagon, but that will all change on December 30th, as Rousey will fight current champion Amanda Nunes in the headline fight for UFC 207. Despite the internet tearing her shoddy boxing form to shreds, Rousey looks the fittest she’s been since she splashed onto the UFC scene five years ago.
Check out the hype video for the Nunes/Rousey fight on Dec. 30th.
