Stop me if you have heard this one before! Former UFC superstar Ronda Rousey has some grievances to air, and she’s not holding back.
Rousey, who was once the biggest star in MMA regardless of gender, has spent the better part of the last five years of her life telling anyone and everyone who will listen just how disrespected she’s been by fans and how she was mistreated both by the UFC and the WWE.
Now, Rousey says, it’s MMA fans who are not paying her proper homage.
Ronda Rousey Goes On Rant Against Fans And Media Over Treatment Of Ex-Legends
The latest Rousey diatribe, which sounds a lot like, well, every other one she’s gone on, took place during a recent appearance on Bert Kreischer’s podcast.
“MMA fans and media are the most what have you done lately for us crowd of any sport,” Rousey said. “You look at WWE and they have such a reverence for their legends. In MMA, it’s like the second that you’re not on top, you’re not s— and you never were s—.
“Chuck Liddell, when he’s on top, ‘He’s the best, he’s the best.’ The second that he loses, ‘Oh Chuck Liddell ain’t shit, he never was s—,’” Rousey said. “‘Rampage’ Jackson, oh my god he’s the next Mike Tyson, he’s so great!’ The second he loses, ‘Rampage’ ain’t shit, he never was s—. [Georges St-Pierre], ‘Oh he loses, he’s not s—, he never was s—.’ Anderson Silva, oh my God he was almost like a mythical creature for a while. He was like this ninja, and he would hypnotize everyone in front of him. The second he loses, ‘Anderson ain’t s—, he never was s—.’ Fedor Emelianenko, one of the greatest ever. The second he loses, ‘Fedor ain’t s—, he never was s—.’”
Look, Rousey has a point, to a degree. MMA fans are always quick to move on to the next best thing, and they have very, very short attention spans.
But there are also valid reasons for their beliefs. The sport, compared to most others, is very young. Which means that the rate at which fighters are improving generation to generation is astronomical. Still, there are plenty of fans who still respect and the legends.
Additionally, it wasn’t all that long ago that Rousey was complaining about how awful WWE fans are! This time around, MMA fans are clearly sick of her whining.
She was on top of the world and the second she fell off she started blaming everyone but herself. If she quit talking she might still have some fans

The biggest hindrance to Ronda Rousey’s legacy has always been and will always be Ronda Rousey.
The ego on ronda is something to behold, all she wants is for everyone to bend the knee forever at her presence, she’s delusional.

The moment she takes some serious time to acknowledge and address that, maybe fans in both MMA and the WWE will begin to view her in a more positive light.
