Scottie Scheffler really wanted to get back home to Dallas after winning The Masters on Sunday night. His very pregnant wife, Meredith, was waiting for him.

As was his favorite dive bar!

Scheffler, who ran away with the Green Jacket with a dominant back nine during the final round at Augusta National Golf Club, was required to answer questions from the media after his victory. Although he was very respectful in doing so, the 27-year-old did not want to be there at all.

His focus was singular. Scheffler’s lone desire was a return to his place of residence.

Fortunately, with how much money he has won over the last few weeks (and the entirety of his well-decorated career), there was no need to fly commercial. There was no waiting in line at security or sitting around at the gate. Scheffler wrapped up his obligations, drove over to Augusta Regional Airport, and hopped on a private jet back to Texas.

Upon arrival, his nine-month pregnant wife was there to greet him.

Their reunion must not have lasted very long! Meredith gave Scottie her stamp of approval to go celebrate with the lads. He pulled up to the famous Inwood Tavern before closing time at 2:00 a.m.

Scheffler, still in the same outfit he wore on the course and a University of Texas hat, grabbed a few cold ones in the green jacket before calling it a night. The vibes were extremely high.

The Inwood Tavern is a well-established institution in the Big D as the oldest continuously operating bar in the city. It was named to the Dallas Bar Hall of Fame and won Reader’s Choice ‘Best Dive Bar’ in 2014 and 2015.

For Scheffler to get off of the course at the most prestigious golf course in the world and immediately stop by a dive bar is such a bro move. Especially if Meredith chose to stay home.
