Sean O’Malley wants to appear on the UFC’s Mexican Independence Day show later this year, which will be held at the famous Las Vegas Sphere.

While speaking with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani, O’Malley said that fighting on the Mexican Independence card would be interesting for his next fight.

“Headlining the Sphere in Vegas,” “Let’s do it. I don’t think anybody would argue against that. I think that would be legendary. I know Conor (McGregor) has talked about potentially going on that card, potentially International Fight Week. So, out of respect for him to still be the best and biggest in the business, I’ll take wherever I can get. But yeah, I think that’d be interesting.”

The UFC bantamweight champion has spoken about wanting to represent Mexico in honor of his wife and daughter, who are of Mexican descent.

“I’m Mexican…(My wife) She’s Mexican, and now we have a baby, who is Mexican, we have the same DNA, so do the math”

O’Malley even has the Mexican flag on his UFC championship belt.

It seems like O’Malley on the Mexican Indepence day event makes sense.
