A Frustrated Sean Payton Yelled ‘Worry About Your Freaking Meat’ To A Butcher At Whole Foods Following Saints’ Loss To 49ers

The Saints lost to the 49ers in the best NFL game of the year this past Sunday. New Orleans fell by two points, 48-46, which is significant seeing as how head coach Sean Payton decided to go for two not once, but twice in the game and came up empty both times.

The Saints went for two in the first quarter after going up 13-7 then again with 53 seconds left in the game leading 46-45.

One would imagine that Saints fans, and Payton, were beyond frustrated after being on the wrong end of the back-and-forth contest and it turns out not even a butcher at a grocery store was safe from Payton’s attitude following the game.

According to The Athletic, a butcher asked Payton about the two-point conversions and he responded by telling him his steaks looked like ass and he needs to worry about his own product.

“I’ve got the guy at Rouses, or at freaking Whole Foods, asking me about the freaking two-point play. I looked at him, the guy from the meat section. I said. ‘Hey, your steaks don’t look too good right now, worry about your freaking meat.’ Driving me crazy.”

It’s Louisiana, so who knows if the butcher was half-ass asking him about the two-point play or legitimately concerned about the decisions, I’d actually bet on the latter of the two scenarios, but either way this quote from Payton is hilarious.

It’s such a great image to think of.

You can just see Payton strolling around the store with some random visor on, sweats and of course some type of windbreaker pushing around a cart simply trying to find a good piece of meat to gnaw on. Then all of the sudden some dude behind the glass chirps at him and Payton simply couldn’t hold back. He looked around and decided the best thing to do was to talk that shit about the meats.

Go on, Mr. Payton.
