After years – if not decades – of patiently waiting, Seattle finally has an NHL team: The Seattle Kraken. The NHL finally revealed the name and logo for its 32nd franchise with a movie trailer – appropriate for an NHL franchise named after a mythological sea monster that lives deep in the ocean. The Seattle Kraken will play in Amazon’s brand new Climate Pledge Arena at the site of the former KeyArea. The puck officially drops for the 2021-2022 season, with the team playing in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.
