A security guard was seen absolutely laying out a Virginia Tech fan that stormed the field after a bowl win over Tulane. The vicious hit has quickly gone viral on social media.

The Hokies walked all over the Green Wave on Wednesday, capping the 2023 season with a 41-20 victory.

Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis was filled with maroon and orange as VT supporters made the quick trip into Maryland.

Those Hokies were spotted taking part in tomfoolery throughout the game, creating a makeshift slip-n-slide on a muddy hill in rainy conditions.

The shenanigans continued after the big win.

Fans attempted to rush the field when the clock hit zero, but one ended up on the wrong end of a security guard’s shoulder.

Followers were quick to react to the hit online, posting reactions in the comments section. A number of viewers blasted the security guard for the excessive display.

“He takes his job WAY too serious.”

“What is wrong with that guy!?”

“My man was just waiting to tee someone up.”

“He got any offensive line eligibility?”

Tough end to an otherwise exciting night for the fan, who slowly walked back to the stands in defeat after the hit.

As for the Hokies, VT racked up 453 yards on offense, 362 of which came on the ground. They were dominant on defense, as well, turning the Green Wave over three times throughout the contest.

Brent Pry’s group improved to 7-6 on the year, picking up its first bowl win since 2016. Hopefully for the Hokies fan, no significant injury was caused by the security guard’s tackle.
