Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Stock Falling Fast ‘He Is Not A First-Round QB For A Lot Of Teams’

Shedeur Sanders is seeing his draft stock fall ahead of the NFL draft. Last week, Sanders met with teams and the media at the NFL combine in Indianapolis. Initial reports claim that the Colorado Buffs QB came off as “brash” and “arrogant” by an NFL QB scout representing a team with a top-7 draft pick.

“I am disappointed to hear that a quarterbacks coach from a team drafting in the top 7 referred to Shedeur Sanders as coming off “brash” and “arrogant” in his team interview and making his assessment known to a number of people, per source.”

There’s a chance Sanders falls out of the first round. According to The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, many teams don’t see Sanders as a first-round quarterback.

“Sanders is going to be a wild card in this draft. He could go in the top six or fall out of the first round entirely — and neither outcome would be a shock.”

“He is not a first-round quarterback for a lot of NFL teams, which isn’t a major surprise (and matches my evaluation). But all it takes is one front office to roll the dice on his skill set. If Sanders falls out of the top 10, this would be an interesting landing spot.”

While Brugler is not very high on Sanders, ESPN’s Mel Kiper believes he’s a top-10 pick and will likely be drafted by the NY Jets with the seventh pick in his mock draft.

We’ll have to wait and see where Sanders falls in the draft, but it’s clear that he’s not going to be a top-5 pick as of now.
