Shedeur Sanders is one of the biggest names in next year’s NFL Draft and all of the signs point toward one specific destination. It feels like Mark Davis and Tom Brady are going to make sure he ends up with the Las Vegas Raiders.
There are a lot of different factors at play in this scenario so nothing is guaranteed but the indications are there.
Sanders has completed 172 of 237 passes (72.6%) for 2,018 yards and 17 touchdowns through the first six games of the 2024 college football season. He has thrown only four interceptions. Colorado is on pace to make a bowl game.
Although a number of on-field concerns and attitude questions might prevent him from going No. 1 overall or being the first quarterback to be drafted in April, Sanders looks awesome this year. His numbers speak for themselves. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound signal-caller is slinging the pill on an elite level.
Deion Sanders has been vocal about his youngest son’s future in the NFL. The Pro Football Hall of Famer threatened that they (he and Shedeur) could potentially “pull and Eli” and refuse to play for an NFL team of which they do not approve.
Will the Las Vegas Raiders draft Shedeur Sanders?
Las Vegas is not one of those aforementioned teams. In fact, Deion said he would love to see Shedeur play for the Raiders on a podcast at the end of September. He also did so at Big 12 Media Days in grandiose fashion.
That’d be nice. I’m not a gambler, so I’m not with all that, but that would be nice. [The Raiders] have a wonderful head coach, and a wonderful president in this organization that I think I’m meeting today, actually. That would be nice. I’ve been looking around the stadium. It’s a nice stadium.
[Antonio Pierce is a] great man. Great leader. [He] earned the job. They didn’t give him nothing. He earned the job. I love what he brings to the table. I don’t want him to lose to the point where he has the ability to get Shedeur. Let’s get that straight. I don’t want that to happen, I really don’t, but I wouldn’t mind if, some kind of way, it happens that [Shedeur] is here. I don’t want [the Raiders to lose enough to have a top draft pick] to happen.

Maxx Crosby hinted at a similar wish back in August.

Shedeur later met Mark Davis at an Aces game in Las Vegas earlier this month. The Raiders’ owner insinuated that he could soon be playing in the same city.

Fast forward to Tuesday. Tom Brady was approved as a minority owner of the Raiders. Shedeur, who already has an NIL deal with the BRADY Brand, liked the announcement.

Brady spoke highly of the Sanders family last year. Davis said on Tuesday that his new co-owner will be involved in the NFL Draft process and Las Vegas needs a quarterback. Neither Aidan O’Connell nor Gardner Minshew are long-term answers at the position.
You know, it’s kind of putting the cart before the horse,” Davis told reporters. “We wanted to get to this point first before we started defining anything of that nature and all that. But it’s just exciting. We traded Davante Adams for Tom Brady […]
Although Tom can’t play, I think he can help us select a quarterback in the future. And potentially trade him as well. So it’s a huge benefit.
— Mark Davis
Tom Brady, who likes Shedeur Sanders, is going to help Mark Davis, who likes Shedeur Sanders, draft a quarterback. Shedeur Sanders, who has a relationship with Tom Brady and Mark Davis, wants to play for the Las Vegas Raiders.
You do the math!
