The 2023 World Baseball Classic will go down in history as one of the best baseball events we’ve seen.

It was jam-packed with drama and ended with a storybook ending of Shohei Ohtani striking out his Los Angeles Angels teammate Mike Troute to win the finals.

However, you have to hear the Japanese announcers call the final strikeout, as it is absolutely electric.

SportsCenter shares Timothy Burks’ video of the Japanese commentators calling Shohei Ohtani’s final strikeout of the WBC.

If that doesn’t send chills down your spine then I don’t know what will. You might be a robot if that’s the case.

Ohtani certainly reached legendary status after his performance in the WBC. Especially after striking out Mike Trout, who is deemed one of the best players in baseball.

Japan went on a marvelous run and Ohtani might just be the best player in the world right now. The guy is simultaneously one of the best hitters and pitchers we’ve seen in recent years.

Baseball fans were thrilled with the outcome of the game, as the entire WBC was electric throughout.

Mike Trout never had a chance.

Everybody agrees with this, right?

Shohei Ohtani becomes a true legend of the sport and we still have the 2023 season ahead. This is a great year for baseball!
