Philadelphia 76ers big man Paul Reed has had a unique journey to get to this point of his NBA career. The Sixers selected Reed with the 58th overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft. He spent the overwhelming majority of his rookie season in the NBA GLeague with Delaware Blue Coats.

Reed’s play in the GLeague impressed, earning him league MVP honors and more recognition from 76ers head coach Doc Rivers. He became a more important part of the Sixers’ rotation in year two, playing in 38 games, including all 12 of the team’s playoff games.

But he’s hoping to take yet another step forward in year three. The Sixers don’t have a true backup center after allowing Deandre Jordan to walk in free agency and cutting Charles Bassey. But Reed will have to compete with both Montrezl Harrell and potentially PJ Tucker for backup minutes behind Joel Embiid.

The increased workload would lead fans to believe that Reed is focused on getting in better shape, which would also include cutting out unhealthy foods.

But there’s one thing in particular that Reed doesn’t look like he’ll be cutting out anytime soon.

Sixers Big Man Paul Reed Shows Off Capri Sun Addiction In Instagram Post

Any young soccer player will tell you that there’s no greater halftime fuel than a good Capri Sun. But normally that goes out the window in favor of Gatorade sometime around middle school. Apparently, that’s not the case for Reed.

Reed posted a number of pictures to his Instagram recently showing off his love for the juice boxes. Including one that shows him literally bathing in Capri Sun and another with an entire fridge dedicated solely to the drink.

For now, the sugary drink addiction doesn’t seem to be slowing Reed down at all. But he may want to keep them away from teammate James Harden.
