Skip Bayless has long been known for driving up hype for his morning debate show Undisputed as if he were a boxing promoter, as he’ll often fire off incendiary rhetorical questions on Twitter to tease what he’s talking about on the latest episode of his program.

On Monday, for example, Bayless wondered how Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift might impact both the future Hall of Fame tight end and the defending champions as a whole. It was classic Skip Bayless.

“How could Taylor Swift impact the Chiefs? Could it become a distraction for the team or for Kelce? Or could it inspire Kelce to even greater heights? Now on Undisputed,” Bayless tweeted on Monday.

On Tuesday, however, the veteran professional sports yeller might have gotten a bit ahead of his skis, as his tweet to promote their segment about Deion Sanders’ University of Colorado Buffaloes was questionable, to say the least.

“Is Deion’s Colorado now Black America’s Team? Now on Undisputed,” Bayless wondered.

Bayless, who is infamously obsessed with the Cowboys, seems to be implying that if they’re “White America’s team”, then another program/franchise — such as the University of Colorado — must be “Black America’s team”

Given that Bayless’ new rotation of football co-hosts on Undisputed includes Keyshawn Johnson, Michael Irvin, and Richard Sherman, hopefully, he ceded the floor to one of them, as they’re actually qualified to speak on such a topic.

This is Bayless’ first season of Undisputed without Shannon Sharpe, who was Bayless’ co-host from 2016 (when the series first premiered) until 2023. Sharpe is now over at ESPN, where he regularly appears on First Take alongside Stephen A. Smith.

As for Deion Sanders and his headline-making University of Colorado Buffaloes, they’ll look to rebound after getting beaten down by the Oregon Ducks when they take on USC at home on Saturday.
