Skip Bayless is known for having some absolutely absurd opinions and obsessions. Whether it’s incessantly complaining about LeBron James, crazy Dallas Cowboys takes, or anything else, he can come off quite ridiculous.
Once upon a time, though, Skip Bayless was a very highly respected journalist. His work with the Dallas Morning Times and Chicago Tribune, among other papers, made him one of the most-awarded journalists in the business. But, some time during his frequent arguments with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, he started the crazy takes, seemingly for attention.
Aside from his LeBron fascination, he’s always had a thing for the San Antonio Spurs. Most of it was praise during the heyday of Tim Duncan and company. But, sometime around the fallout between Kawhi Leonard and the franchise, he seemingly turned on Spurs legendary coach Gregg Popovich.
Of course, the Spurs just added mega-prospect Victor Wembanyma, whom they selected with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday. But, Skip Bayless seems to think Coach Popovich won’t handle it well.
Gregg Popovich isn't going to like it that he's now the second biggest star in San Antonio. He will soon make it tough on Wemby, break the kid down so he (Pop) can take credit for building him back up. Hope Wemby doesn't go Kawhi on Pop and say, "Enough of this."

Yeah, that is a completely ridiculous take. The architect of the unselfish Spurs dynasty wants it to all be about him. Got it, Skip.
