Spencer Rattler is one of the most polarizing players in this year’s NFL Draft class. Regardless of position.

Some people believe that he is a first-round talent who has yet to find the perfect system for success. Others believe that he is erratic and over-hyped.

Rattler, of course, is confident in himself as a quarterback and hopes to show that he is the full package while in Mobile, Ala. for the Senior Bowl this week. His primary focus is on consistency.

In addition to his on-field play, there have been concerns about Rattler’s attitude ever since his time on QB1: Beyond The Lights. The 23-year-old has grown up a lot over the course of his five-year college football career and he showed great maturity earlier this week while reflecting back on the negative stigma that surrounded him — especially throughout his time at Oklahoma.

What team will draft Spencer Rattler?

It will be curious to see where Spencer Rattler lands in April. There are a lot of teams in need of a quarterback and this year’s NFL Draft class is deep. The talent level to the class is up for debate but there is no shortage of arms.

Washington, New England, Minnesota, Las Vegas, Denver, Atlanta, Seattle, New York (Giants), Pittsburgh, New Orleans, and maybe Chicago are likely to add a signal-caller during the earlier rounds of this year’s draft. Many of them may seek a quarterback on Day 1.

The Patriots are showing interest in Rattler. New England wide receivers coach (and three-time Super Bowl champion pass-catcher) Troy Brown is serving as the offensive coordinator for the American team at the Senior Bowl this week.

Rattler has been running their system all week and the team has talked with him on multiple different occasions. Not just on the field, either!

The Patriots are likely to undergo a pretty significant overhaul between now and next season under first-year head coach Jerod Mayo. Perhaps Rattler will be part of the future?
