Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White urged the media to ignore Enes Kanter
Enes Kanter’s latest move in his apparent quest to “protect women” was to show up at the Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky game on Sunday and make such a show of himself that he had to be escorted out of the arena.
After the coach, Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White — who has already made headlines a few times this season for her difficulties navigating the team’s many controversies this season — created another viral moment with her response to Enes Kanter’s latest antics.
During the third quarter of Sunday’s Sky-Fever game, the Turkish former NBA center was ejected after getting into an altercation with Chicago point guard Natasha Cloud.

“I think it’s important you guys [the media] don’t give it any gas. It’s a social media thing, right?” White said while Clark emphatically nodded along.

White herself was also blasted for her reaction as the discourse has very clearly gone beyond social media: not only did Kanter, as former NBA All-Star Joe Johnson put it, cause a “ruckus” at the Sky-Fever game, but there were also rallies/protests at the Fever’s game against the New York Liberty on Saturday.

Despite the fact that Clark added to her historic season with a 37-point, 10-assist performance in the Fever’s win over the Sky, it was Kanter’s behavior that stole all the spotlight in the aftermath.
