WR Stephon Johnson Took The Greatest Recruiting Photo Of All-Time With A Horse At Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State football hosted quite a few recruits to campus over the weekend. While in Stillwater, one of their Class of 2022 targets took the most awesome recruiting photo in history.

DeSoto High School standout Stephon Johnson Jr. was previously committed to Oregon. However, after the coaching shakeup, he decommitted from the Ducks and reopened his recruitment.

The three-star wide receiver stands 6-foot-0, 175 pounds and is blazing fast. He currently has offers from 16 schools, including Arkansas, Arizona State, SMU, Oregon and Oklahoma State.

Although it is unclear exactly where he will end up, he swung by the Cowboys’ campus for an official visit. Upon arrival, he was greeted with quite the spread in his hotel room.

The Cowboys’ staff extended its scholarship offer to Johnson back in may, when he was still committed to play in Eugene. He is the No. 70 prospect in Texas, the No. 68 wide receiver in the Class of 2022 and the No. 522 overall recruit nationally.

During his lone season at DeSoto, Johnson caught 46 passes for 436 yards and seven touchdowns. While wide receiver is not necessarily a position of need for Oklahoma State during this cycle, Johnson is considered to play above his “stars” and would be a nice addition.

Thus, they went all-out during his visit.

At one point, Johnson put on the uniform and took some photos at the 50-yard-line of Boone Pickens Stadium. Photoshoots are standard amongst recruiting visits.

Johnson’s photoshoot, however, was not. Dressed in full uniform, he gave a slime nose wipe with the sun creeping in overtop the stadium.

That alone would have been a hard picture. But to put it over the top, Johnson stood next to a horse in full saddle. It goes crazy.

There has never been a recruiting visit photo that went harder than Johnson and the horse. He and Oklahoma State raised the bar over the weekend and now it’s time for other schools to try and reach the level of awesomeness.
