It’s probably not good for your football career to go out of your way to curse out the coaches in charge of a football program that you play for on social media.

Today, the Tennessee Volunteers have reportedly kicked wide receiver Jauan Jennings off the team after he blasted the Volunteers’ coaching staff in a profanity-laced Instagram video.

“In consultation with vice chancellor/director of athletics John Currie, I have made the decision to dismiss Jauan from our program,” interim head coach Brady Hoke said in a statement. “Representing the University of Tennessee football program is a privilege.”

On Wednesday, Jennings posted a video on his Instagram criticizing the Tennessee coaches and went on to call them “bitches” and “lying ass snakes”.

“The coaching staff is holding us back,” Jennings said. “Please, Tennessee send us a great-(expletive) coaching staff.”

Jennings said he went to practice on Wednesday with hopes of playing against Vanderbilt on Saturday, going into a rant about how much he hates the Commodores.

Then he turned back to the coaches, calling them fake, snakes and accusing them of lying.

“It ain’t nothing to do with no players,” Jennings said. “It ain’t nothing to do with no (expletive) injuries (expletive). It’s straight (expletive) coaching.”

The wide receiver hasn’t played since suffering a hand injury in Tennessee’s opening game against Georgia Tech and apparently wanted to return to face in-state rival Vanderbilt in Saturday’s game but the coaches wouldn’t let him.

It’s kind of a weird situation considering the Vols coaches are on their way out following a disappointing but it seems like the University still wasn’t cool with Jennings’ actions.
